First off, I will start by saying that I am not a writer. I love to read, but writing is definitely not my forte. With that said, being a high school librarian has opened my eyes to many different views and perspectives that I didn't have before. Towards the end of the school year, I encountered situations that I needed to reflect and assess. I am happy that I have a few days of summer to ponder and consider how a librarian, like myself, can remedy said situations. I have attended many conferences this past year, to which I have observed that many districts are fortunate to have a Library Director or District Librarian to liaise between campus librarians and district administration. In my current district, the librarians are under the direction of someone that is housed at our administration building, however, this person is not a librarian and clearly does not know what all is entailed with our positions as campus librarians.
